| NC Wine Tour Coming Soon! |
I can't express the joy I felt when I first visited a North Carolina Winery. Seeing rows and rows of grape vines, full of their spring leaves and their first buds, made me giddy like a school girl. What did this winery have in store? I was more than excited to find out! I am here to tell you that North Carolina wineries have come a long way...for starters, there are almost triple the number of wineries today than there were five years ago. Production is up and so is quality. The more people making wine in this area, means there are more resources for grape growers and winemakers than ever before, which, of course, equals better wine.
There is no better venue for tasting wine than the actual land the grapes were grown on. Always wonder why that Chianti tasted so good IN Chianti? I'm telling you it's all in your surroundings. Hearing a winemaker talk about how difficult, or outstanding a particular vintage was, or what inspired them to plant, and produce a particular grape makes tasting that wine all the more enjoyable. So, now's your chance; for one day in August WSM is organizing a North Carolina Wine Tour! Join us, Friday, August 25, 2006 on a chartered bus, and enjoy a day packed with winery tours, beautiful vistas, great people, and best of all - great North Carolina wines. I have picked each winery, and will personally guide you through our daylong tour. For complete details check with our service desk at our Carrboro store. Tickets are $95 each and are extremely limited. Tickets go on sale July 19, so, don't miss out! |
