Weaver Street Market is committed to strengthening the local economy. Because of our cooperative ownership structure and initiatives such as local purchasing of goods and paying our employees a living wage, we have always contributed much more to the local economy than any corporate-owned business could.
In the spirit of our continued efforts to find new ways for Co-op members to invest their money locally, we are quite pleased to announce our Community Investment Initiative. By loaning money to Weaver Street Market, your investment stays local with a business you know and trust, and you provide critical support for our expansion project.

Homebound Delivery Service
Weaver Street Market's Wednesday morning Home Delivery Program is a free benefit available to members of the co-op living within an 8-mile radius of the Carrboro store who are unable to shop for themselves. The program serves long-term homebound Co-op owners, as well as owners of the Co-op who are short-term homebound due to illness or injury. A team of dedicated volunteers runs the program on Wednesday mornings from 9 am - 12 noon. The volunteers take orders from 9-10 am, shop for the groceries and deliver to each participant's home.

How to participate:
• Questions about specific products may be directed to individual departments, however please remember to call and place your order for the products you want delivered with the volunteer team on Wednesday morning.

• All orders must be placed by calling 929-0010 ext.100 during the hour of 9-10 am on Wednesdays. [Special orders (items not typically stocked in the store) may be placed with the appropriate department anytime; please remember to ask the volunteers to check for your special order when you call on Wednesday.]

• Please be prepared to describe the products you are requesting (e.g. weight, quantity, brand name) and inform the volunteer of your payment method. We accept cash, check, EBT, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. (For security reasons, credit card numbers are not kept, so you will need to give the number every time you place an order.)

• In addition to our owners' discount, the 10% senior discount applies to deliveries for owners aged 55 or older.

• Our volunteers will deliver the groceries to your kitchen; if you are unable to unpack your groceries yourself, please arrange to have someone meet our volunteer at your residence.

• If you are not satisfied with any item, please save the item (or mark your receipt if the item is perishable), and the volunteer will take it for a refund the following week.
