Peaches: quintessential fruit of summer! "Behold the golden peach, elegant herald of hot summer days and sweet sticky treats." The peach occupies a dual space in our imaginations, connoting youth, freshness and innocence, as well as luxury, indulgence, and sumptuousness. In Chinese tradition, the peach symbolizes longevity, and is said to be the fruit of the immortals. The legendary Peach of Immortality requires 6,000 years to blossom and ripen, so while you're waiting, why not enjoy one of Weaver Street Market's peachy treats? More |
