Give Hope for the Holidays!

Every December shoppers make an automatic donation to the HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS Fund by buying specially marked gift items located throughout our stores. Part of the purchase price of each gift marked with a special Hope for the Holidays sign will be collected in the Hope for the Holidays Fund. Funds are then dispersed to three local, charitable organizations.

In 2009, thanks to your purchases, we were able to give over $6000 to support the efforts of HOPE Gardens,  Paws4Ever, and the Cooperative Commuity Fund.

Help Rebuild Haiti

Weaver Street Market is collecting and contributing funds to help with long-term rebuilding efforts for cooperatives in Haiti.  You can give any amount to directly support the Cooperative Development Foundation’s Cooperative Emergency Fund by telling your cashier at checkout. 100% of monies raised will be distributed through two cooperative organizations, NRECA International Foundation and ACDI/VOCA, to orchestrate a long-term rebuilding effort for cooperatives in Haiti.  NRECA International Foundation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, is a charitable organization dedicated to the mission of bringing electricity to the world, one village at a time.  ACDI/VOCA is an economic development organization that fosters broad-based economic growth, raises living standards and creates vibrant communities. They help communities in need by working in the areas of agribusiness, food security, enterprise development, financial services and community development.
