It’s Election Time at the Co-op!

Voting for WSM Board of Directors Begins August 22

One of the most important ways owners can participate in the co-op is to have a voice in who’s elected to serve on the WSM Board of Directors. Each fall WSM owners elect two owners to serve on the Board of Directors: Consumer owners elect a Board member from the consumer owner candidates; worker owners elect a Board member from the worker owner candidates.

MeetTheCandidates.pngThe Board of Directors is comprised of seven members: four elected Board members, two appointed Board members, and the General Manager. Each year two of the elected Board positions are open for owner elections, and one of the appointed positions is open for appointment.

New This Year! For the first time, we have video interviews with each candidate as well as their written responses to the application questions posed by the Board of Directors. All of the candidates have stepped up to serve as co-op leaders, please learn about them before voting.

Although you may only vote for candidates in your owner class, all Board members represent the entire ownership of WSM. We encourage you to learn about all the candidates, and then check back here after the elections to see who will be representing you on the Board.
