Peg's Wine Recommendations:
Get medieval this Valentine’s Day with the legend of
Saint Valentine
The history of
Valentine’s Day is a very loose trail of myths and legends. It is
difficult to find an accurate historic account of how it came about and
no two stories about that holiday are alike. The roots of this now
“greeting card” holiday seem to have come from Rome in the 3rd century.
Here is my VERY loose interpretation of what I can gather about the
legend of Saint Valentine. Oh, and by the way, I love a good drama, so
forgive me for the theatrical liberties I take with the story. So, here
it goes (it also helps if you use your best dramatic voice when reading
this story): read more >>>
