Toni's Peach Cobbler

1 stick butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place butter in a 2 quart glass baking dish and melt in oven. Stir together flour, sugar, and buttermilk in to a batter. Take baking dish out of oven Pour batter evenly on top of the melted butter. Then place peaches evenly on top of the batter. DO NOT STIR. Place dish back in the oven for 30-40 minutes, cooking until golden brown.
