Irish Beer Bread

This is a fun, easy quick bread. And it uses beer! I made this often when I lived in Wisconsin for a summer using Leinenkugel's Red. Hmmm, I wonder what local beers will work well? Time to experiment...

3 cups self-rising flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups warm beer

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt. Mix well. Add the beer and mix until blended. Pour into a well-greased 8 1/2x 4 1/2" inch loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Turn the warm bread out of the loaf pan and cool on a rack.
