Farmers

As a community-owned grocery, we have the opportunity and the responsibility to seek out local suppliers and to form relationships with the people growing food in our area. North Carolina is filled with generations-old family farms and aspiring new farmers. We encourage local growers looking for a market to contact us.

While we value the principles of organic farming, we know that many small farmers cannot afford the certification process. Knowing your farmer means gaining a deeper understanding of sustainability practices and land stewardship than what can be conveyed with a certification label. Our produce department is a direct link to the local economy, and your source for the freshest produce available.
