For a traditional, simmered corned beef brisket, follow these simple instructions. We have corned beef briskets in our stores leading up to St. Patrick’s Day (arriving March 6 in 2018). We marinate them in garlic and spices, so all you have to do is cook.
- 1 corned beef brisket
- vegetables like potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage
1) Place beef and vegetables in large pot.
2) Add enough water to cover beef and vegetables, and cover pot with lid.
3) Bring to a boil.
4) Simmer on low for 2 1/2 hours or until desired tenderness. (An internal temperature of 200-203 degrees is perfect for a tender finished product.)
