Our board of directors is seeking qualified candidates to run in their 2018 election.
Two seats are open: one consumer-owner seat and one worker-owner seat. A call for candidates with the application is published on our website, here. It lists the qualifications to be a board member as well as three steps that must be taken to be eligible:
1) Attend a 2018 board meeting. The next meeting is Wednesday, June 13.
2) Attend the candidate information session on June 13.
3) Talk with a board member. Email board@weaverstreetmarket.coop to arrange this meeting, or talk to board members at the Co-op Fair on April 29.
The Co-op Fair in a semiannual open house at our Food House in Hillsborough. It’s a great opportunity to talk with current board members (as well as to tour our facility and get some great food). Tickets to the fair are free and are available here.
Candidate applications are due Sunday, June 24 at 10 PM. The election begins in late August, with the two-year term beginning in January 2019.
