Bring It Back Utensils is new initiative to continue in the co-op’s mission to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce single-use packaging. If you are taking utensils with you, please return the utensils to a bus tub in the eating area on a future visit to Weaver Street. No deposit required.
Many Weaver Street Market shoppers are probably familiar with Ran-Lew Dairy milk products. Randy Lewis, has been farming his family’s 5th generation dairy, allowing milk drinkers to enjoy milk “the way it used to be” with cream on top. Early Sunday morning, May 7, Randy was attacked by a bull in the pasture. Randy was life-flighted to UNC Hospital where he’s in the surgical ICU awaiting extensive medical care and reconstructive surgery. Last year our bread bakers created a Bread for Ukraine to support fighting for the sovereignty of their nation. As the war continues, we’re offering the bread again. This loaf contains rye and sunflower seeds in a nod to the robust Ukrainian grain economy. $1 from the purchase of each Bread for Ukraine will be donated to World Central Kitchen and COOP Ukraine.
