DESCRIPTION:This year\, Chapel Hill’s celebration of the founding of our country will take place in a new location. \nThe 4th of July event offers two different experiences for local residents looking to enjoy the fireworks display. \nSouthern Community Park’s sports fields will be open starting at 7:00 pm for those who simply want to bring a blanket or chair and relax with family and friends in the park before the show.  For those who are looking to feed the family and catch some live entertainment before the fireworks begin\, then the Southern Village Green is the place to be. From 6:00 – 9:00 pm\, Market Street merchants will have food and drink for sale and live music on stage from Idlewild South. Weaver Street Market will be open as well\, with all our Grab & Go sandwiches\, salads\, sushi\, and other treats. Stop by our store to fill your picnic basket before heading to the park. \nThe fireworks are expected to begin around 9:15 pm and this year’s show will be visible from the park\, the Village Green\, and many other locations around town. \nhttps://www.chapelhilljuly4fireworks.com/
