DESCRIPTION:It’s the 24th annual Piedmont Farm Tour! This year’s tour includes 41 farms. Farms are open from 2 to 6 PM each day. The tour is self-guided; use the tour brochure or the CFSA’s interactive map to plan your visits and maximize your time at the farms. We suggest visiting 2 to 4 each day. Farms are located throughout the Triangle in Alamance\, Chatham\, Durham\, Franklin\, Johnston\, Orange\, Person\, and Wake Counties. The tour occurs RAIN OR SHINE. \nButtons and brochures will be available in our stores March 29. In advance\, buttons are only $30 and good for a whole carload of people or group of bicyclists. DESCRIPTION:A Walk for Hunger brings together dedicated citizens from congregations\, community groups\, and area businesses\, with a common goal–fighting hunger in this community. OCIM (one of our Community Food Partners) sponsors the event and would love to have you be a part of it! Proceeds from the walk support the OCIM Food Pantry and the Meals on Wheels Ministry. \nPlease join OCIM’s Walk for Hunger to help fight hunger in northern Orange County. The walk begins at Mount Bright Missionary Baptist Church at 211 W. Union Street in Hillsborough. Registration begins at 1 PM\, and the walk begins at 2 PM. Participants will walk through town and return to the church. \nThis year\, organizers encourage young people to participate. They bring energy and fun to the event! Youth groups are encouraged to participate in the Youth Group Challenge\, with awards for the biggest fundraisers. \nProceeds benefit the OCIM Samaritan Relief Ministry\, which in 2018 served over 2400 school children in Orange County.
