Less-intensive farming methods and advanced harvest and production technology make the Ecuadorian aquaculture industry the most advanced and sustainable of its kind. A more natural diet and extra room to move allow the shrimp to develop better flavor and texture without the use of antibiotics. The shrimp are not treated with tripolyphosphate preservatives, and there are no pesticides used at the farms. The boil-in-bag pouches are BPA free.
The shrimp are mechanically peeled and deveined in Louisiana at Prime Shrimp’s headquarters, then are seasoned and frozen in 8 oz bags. Each pouch comes with two 8 oz bags. We will start with four flavors- garlic and herb butter, Louisiana boil, lemon and cracked pepper, and their signature style. The frozen pouch is dropped into boiling water and cooks in less than 10 minutes!
