Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride  

Join the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro this June for a month-long celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride. More info about this event here.

Programming includes the second annual Chapel Hill Pride Promenade, Drag story times, art installations, resource sharing, and more. More information will be announced soon. 

We want to affirm community values and ensure that all residents, regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation, feel safe in our communities.

MEET AT PEACE & JUSTICE PLAZA 

Here’s what you need to know about the second annual Pride Promenade – click on tabs below for more details! 

• At 1:15 pm, the community will gather at Peace & Justice Plaza and be entertained by the Triangle Pride Jazz Band. 
• At 2:00 pm, Chapel Hill Mayor Pro Tem Karen Stegman will signal the official start of the Promenade. 

• The Promenade will end at 140 West Plaza, where the celebration will continue until 4:00 pm with music, dancing, art, and more. 

This event is the start of the month-long Chapel Hill-Carrboro Small Town Pride celebration.
