Think4Earth Bread Bags
Dominic Elliott, founder of Think4Earth Bread Bags, says being an “earth warrior” starts with taking accountability for your actions and consciously choosing to reduce your environmental footprint. Dominic believes that our voices and actions can change how retailers’ package and distribute their products.
Plastic bottles are everywhere. What was meant to hold valuable water to quench people’s thirst often ends up back in the ocean or in landfills. Since 2019, the Think4Earth team has been busy brainstorming ways to give that plastic a second life.
Proudly designed in Australia, Think4Earth Bread Bags are crafted from 100% recycled rPET plastic and use vegan-friendly processes. Each bag recycles 12 plastic bottles! They are machine washable making them perfect for everyday use. With over 100,000 bread bags sold, they are loved by home bakers and bread lovers worldwide. And Dominic knows this is just the start of something bigger. Each bag sold brings us one step closer to a healthier environment.
Think4Earth’s goal is to have their bread bags in every bakery and every home. They want to turn good bakeries into the best bakeries and empower consumers to make better decisions. By providing eco-friendly packaging for your daily bread, Think4Earth helps your #savetheplanet every single day.

Weaver Street’s Bring It Back Jar Reduces Packaging!
Bring It Back Jars is a new initiative to continue in the co-op’s mission to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce single-use packaging. The idea is simple! Customers purchase product in reusable glass jars and return the empty jars and lids to a cashier on a future shopping trip.
In phase one, the Bring It Back Jars will offer dried fruit. The next phases will include nuts and a selection of other bulk items
This process is similar to purchasing milk in glass bottles. When you return the Bring It Back Jar and lid to a cashier you will receive your $1.50 deposit refund.
The switch to reusable glass jars is a great way to reduce plastic packaging while enjoying the convenience of purchasing and storing food.
You can find jars filled with dry fruit in our bulk section in stores, if shopping online, click here.
