Weaver Street’s Bring It Back Utensils Reduce Packaging!
We are now offering only stainless steel eating utensils for customers to use while enjoying a meal at Weaver Street or for taking food out. If you are taking utensils with you, please return the utensils to a bus tub in the eating area on a future visit to Weaver Street. No deposit required.
Thank you for helping to reduce waste!
Our other Bring It Back initiatives include the Bring It Back Jar, currently featuring bulk dried fruit, and our reusable Bring It Back Sack that helps eliminate single-use bags at the checkout.
Eliminating single-use plastic and paper bags!
We encourage all shoppers to bring their own bags when they shop.
Customers who do not carry their own bag have the option to purchase a reusable “Weaver Bag” for $1.99 or an insulated bag for $2.99, or to use a “Bring it Back Sack” made of heavy-duty recycled plastic sturdy enough to be re-used up to 125 times. New sacks can be purchased for 15 cents, or customers can pick up a free sack from a stash of returned bags.
Weaver Street’s Bring It Back Jar Reduces Packaging!
Bring It Back Jars is a new initiative to continue in the co-op’s mission to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce single-use packaging. The idea is simple! Customers purchase product in reusable glass jars and return the empty jars and lids to a cashier on a future shopping trip.
In phase one, the Bring It Back Jars will offer dried fruit. The next phases will include nuts and a selection of other bulk items
This process is similar to purchasing milk in glass bottles. When you return the Bring It Back Jar and lid to a cashier you will receive your $1.50 deposit refund.
