Hillsborough’s July 4 Picnic in the Park
A public reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by live music, food trucks, face painting, and colonial games and crafts.

Carrboro’s July 4th Celebration
After the Kickoff at our store, follow the People’s Parade to the Town Hall for the Kids’ Fun Zone and Fun Zone Stage with plenty of activities, face painters, games, food, and live music. In the event of bad weather, call 919-918-7373 for cancellation information.

Southern Village Music on the Green
Dixieland Jazz from Decatur Street Beat.

Fireworks in Kenan Stadium
Gates open at 7 PM with family friendly activities and live music by Soul Psychedelique Orchestra. Watermelon eating contest with DSI Comedy. Fireworks start at 9:30 PM.

Southern Season’s Red, White, and Blue Party

Durham Parade
The Children’s Independence Day Parade is in Durham Central Park.

Durham Fireworks
Fireworks are at the Durham Bulls stadium after the baseball game. (Tickets are required to attend the game, but the stadium opens to the public during the 7th inning.)

Festival for the Eno
