Living History: From the Rock Wall

February 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

In celebration of Black History Month, we are collaborating with the Marian Cheek Jackson Center for the 3rd year to share the stories of Chapel Hill and Carrboro’s Black history. The Marian Cheek Jackson Center is a public history non-profit that works to honor the legacy of historic Black neighborhoods, Black history, and advocate for housing justice.
Learn local history through the voices of local poets, speakers, and historians. This free event invites you to explore the legacy and impact of the historic Northside, Pine Knolls, and Tin Top neighborhoods, offering personal narratives from significant moments in local history. Come sample food from local Black-owned businesses whose products we carry at our stores. Everyone is welcome to join us in this meaningful celebration!
