A Walk for Hunger brings together dedicated citizens from congregations, community groups, and area businesses, with a common goal – fighting hunger in this community. OCIM (one of our Community Food Partners) sponsors the event and would love to have you be a part of it! Proceeds from the walk support the OCIM Food Pantry and the Meals on Wheels Ministry.

The walk will begin at Mt. Bright Missionary Baptist Church (211 W Union St, Hillsborough) and meander through town to Gold Park. Round trip, it will be under three miles. To participate, gather donations from sponsors and turn them in at the walk. Donations are also welcome. Anyone can participate; you don’t have to pay to walk.

Registration will begin at 1 PM, and the walk starts at 2 PM. We hope to see you and your family there!
