Triangle Ferment Fest

Preserving organic vegetables in jars like carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, chilis, paprika and radishes.

It’s the inaugural Triangle Ferment Fest! Sunday, October 13th, 1-5 PM at Chatham Hill Winery in Cary. It’s a unique food festival that both teaches and celebrates all things fermented. A variety of vendors will be on hand giving out samples and selling products, and speakers will talk about fermentation-related topics: Lionel Vatinet of La Farm Bakery will talk about making sourdough bread, a local kombucha expert will talk about kombucha home brewing, Mama Kwon from Chapel Hill will lead a hands-on kimchi workshop, and an NCSU microbiologist will talk about fermentation and how to do it safely. The festival will also have Cultures for Health culture giveaways, and an Ask an Expert booth.
