An all-women wine growing company, the HER Wine Collection, launched in South Africa in 2020. Since then, their colorful bottles have become a firm favorite. Made by a team of Black women already working in the wine industry who realized they could combine their skill sets to create a unique proposition: an all-Black, all female company who grows, makes, markets and distributes their own wines.
The journeys of these women have given them insight into the challenges for those starting out, and the motivation to pay it forward. This is why they have pledged to contribute 2% of their profits to a scholarship fund to enable young, talented, and driven individuals to achieve their dreams.
The HER Wine Team brings their skills, their heritage, their energy, and their expertise. By grabbing at opportunity, working hard, and relying on each other, they have stepped into the world of business, previously unattainable to their families, particularly the women.
Each woman on the HER Team has a story to tell. All their stories have a common thread. These dynamic young women have stepped out of the confinement of their circumstances to make their own mark and overcome significant obstacles to achieve career success.
