Gina-Marie D’Meza, teacher, wife, and mommy to Jada-Marie, Ava, and Rhea, began a journey over 12 years ago with her husband, Alan, to rid their family of as many harsh chemicals as they possibly could. On this journey, they learned that they were exposing themselves to hundreds of chemicals every day in simple things like soaps, shampoos and lotions. This led Gina-Marie to begin creating her own bath and body products for her family and once she started there was no turning back.
Every bar of Little Homestead soap is handmade using the hot process soap method, which allows Gina and family to pick and choose what extra moisturizing food-grade oils are added to the bar as the soap making process is completed. Their small-batch, hand-cut bars are GMO free, sustainably harvested, and soy oils or other vegetable oils are never used. No artificial dyes are ever used to add color. All coloring is done using natural botanicals such as ground fruits, spices, or natural clays. In addition, they strive to find packaging that is earth-friendly, reusable, or recyclable. Gina-Marie loves knowing that the products she makes contain a small handful of natural, readable, safe ingredients.
