Mama’s Salsa was started in 2018 by Crystal Harris as a way to serve delicious food to the people in her community. As a homeschool mom of three rambunctious boys, the business that was meant to be a part time hobby has turned into a full-time business for the family of five. Crystal says, “I got started cooking authentic Mexican meals for my mom friends. We would have play dates and I would make homemade salsa, chips, and tortillas. The works. I decided to do a small sale at a local church event, and I sold out. It was then that I realized I had something that everybody loved and wanted more of,” Mama’s Salsa, a family owned and operated business located in the Triangle area, specializes in making authentic and fresh Mexican salsas. Many of the recipes used are the ones Crystal grew up eating in her grandmother’s and mother’s kitchen. She loves making food memories and sharing those memories with others. Mama’s fresh salsas are great to snack on and cook with and are best enjoyed with family and friends. When it comes to salsa, Mama knows best!
