Pride Road is a family Veteran owned and operated food manufacturing company that produces all natural, locally grown hibiscus-based products. Owner, Najeeb Muhaimin credits his father, Yasin, the patriarch of the Muhaimin family, as the inspiration behind Pride Road’s origin story. Born and raised in Zachary, Louisiana where farming was an essential part of life, Yasin not only shared his passion for farming with his elder sons but also his love of country. Yasin’s sons followed in his footsteps, in their military service and in farming. The family takes pride in harvesting and delivering their products to the customer while cultivating trusted relationships with local farmers.
A true example of what a seed to table company looks like, Pride Road says the Georgia climate offers an ideal environment for hibiscus growth. They give their plants the best possible feed, and lots of sun and rain of which Georgia has plenty. Najeeb says their hibiscus begins with seeds collected from the previous season’s harvest. These seeds are grown into transplants and planted at local Georgia farms. The harvesting process requires that each calyx, the protective layer that forms around the flower bud, be individually hand-picked and cored being processed and packaged at their local facility in Lithonia Georgia.
Pride Road’s Hibiscus, jellies, chutneys, and teas are made with their motto in mind, “Very Best Quality, Where It Matters Most.” And for Pride Road, that dedication to quality begins in the seed and continues to your table and family.
