WSM Owners Elect Two Board Directors for 2021
Weaver Street Market’s Board Elections ended Tuesday. Owners elected a consumer owner and a worker owner to serve on the Board.

New terms for the elected directors begin at the January Board retreat. The Elections Committee, which oversees the election process, presents the following results from this year’s consumer-owner and worker-owner elections:
Results for Consumer-Owner Election
Consumer owners had a slate of two candidates running for the open consumer-owner seat: Deborah Gibbs received 1,109 votes (66.8%), and Kathryn Helene received 551 votes (33.2%). Winners of Weaver Street elections are by a simple majority. Of the 1,660 votes cast, 1,656 votes (99.8%) were cast online with 4 mail-in votes.
Results for Worker-Owner Election
EmJ Jakubowics ran unopposed on the worker-owner slate. EmJ received 62 votes (100%). Of the 62 votes cast, 51 ballots (85%) were submitted online with 11 paper ballots cast.
