All of our meats and poultry are antibiotic- and hormone-free. We offer both nationally recognized brands and local meats. Our local meat initiative began as a partnership with NC Choices (now Firsthand Foods), a project of the non-profit Center for Environmental Farming Systems. They worked with us to develop and manage a network of farmers and processors to provide a steady, year-round supply. All of our beef is now local and pasture-raised, from Mills Family Farm in Mooresville, NC. The majority of our retail pork products are sourced through the NC Hog Growers Association from Animal Welfare Approved farms in Eastern North Carolina.
Our seafood selection reflects our ongoing commitment to ecological awareness, as we only sell seafood that is responsibly farmed or wild-caught from non-endangered species. Whenever possible we offer seasonal catch from regional fisheries along the Gulf Coast, the East Coast, and North Carolina.
