What is a Game Changer?
The “Game Changer” attribute was created to identify and support BIPOC-owned brands as part of our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative. Recognizing the underrepresentation of these companies in the larger retail industry, we seek to positively impact the food supply chain by providing an equitable food system founded on equal representation, diversity, and justice. Weaver Street Market defines Game Changers, to parallel the Minority Business Enterprise, as companies or brands whose ownership is 51% or more BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color).
