If you need a special something for a special someone this month, we still have Gearhart’s chocolates in stores, in limited supply! These tasty confections come from Gearharts Fine Chocolates in Charlottesville, Virgina, where Tim Gearhart opened up his chocolate shop with fellow chef Bill Hamilton in 2001.
- The Virginia Highland malt whisky truffles comprise a dark chocolate ganache infused with the Virginia Distillery Company’s Highland malt whisky, hand rolled with soft Valrhona cocoa. They were the winner of “Best New Product” at the 2016 Virginia Food and Beverage Expo.
- The pistachio toffee comprises rich, buttery toffee loaded with roasted, lightly salted California pistachios and coated in bittersweet chocolate.
- The dark chocolate caramels comprise soft caramel infused with rich cocoa, a touch of balsamic vinegar, and cracked black pepper, all coated in dark chocolate and finished with smoked sea salt.
