They had us at “goat’s milk caramel.” These are some of the best caramels we’ve ever had, and they’re made with farmstead goat’s milk on a small family farm.
Started in 2010 by Louisa Conrad and Lucas Farrell, Big Picture Farm is a small hillside goat dairy and farmstead confectionery and creamery located in southern Vermont. We were able to visit last summer. Louisa and Lucas make the caramels with fresh, raw, creamy goat’s milk from their herd of happy, free-ranging companions. Their farm is Animal Welfare Approved, and although the farm is not certified organic, they don’t use pesticides or treat the animals. They rotate the animals onto different pastures every day.
We are proud to introduce you to Big Picture Farm caramels, and just in time for Valentine’s Day. We love ‘em and hope you do, too!
