Their cheddar has won every major taste award, including the world’s best cheddar.
3. The co-op is owned by 1,200 farmers.
The family farmers that own Cabot live throughout New England and New York.
4. The co-op began in 1919.
The original group of dairy farmers near Cabot, Vermont, banded togther to turn their milk into butter and sell it.
5. The co-op members like to go cruising in Alaska.
Every year, Cabot sponsors the Cabot Celebrity Cruise, an Alaskan cruise. Community volunteers are entered to win a spot on the ship, traveling along with Cabot farmers.
