When Kyle Burns’s neighbors gave his parents an application for Co-op Leadership Camp in White Lake, North Carolina, he didn’t think much of it. But he applied and was accepted, sponsored by Weaver Street Market.
Kyle admits the four-day camp was outside his comfort zone, and that he went into it thinking it wouldn’t be worth his time. By the end of the camp, Kyle’s peers had selected him for a leadership award, and he was honored at the closing banquet. He describes the knowledge he gained as “more important than anything I have learned in the past 17 years.”
