Four of the six organizations that won 2017 CCF grants attended last weekend’s Co-op Fair:
- PORCH volunteers had samples of sauteed cauliflower made following a recipe from Good and Cheap, the book that grant funds will buy for their clients.
- Kay from OCIM talked about the food pantry, which serves the community in northern Orange County.
- TABLE volunteers demonstrated how to make jelly and fruit kabobs, one of the snacks they make in their SnackChef program.
- Some of the teens from Transplanting Traditions Community Farm sauteed water spinach grown on the farm for visitors to try. Water spinach is one of the traditional crops grown on the farm.
