A great recipe for Valentine’s Day (and every day!) from our friends at Maple Valley Co-op. This divine chocolate elixir can be served four delicious ways. Try it in stores this weekend (February 18, 3-6 in Hillsborough, February 19, 11-2 in Carrboro, 3-6 in Southern Village), and stock up on Maple Valley’s maple syrup, on sale February 17-19, 2017.
- 1/4 c. organic unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 c. Maple Valley organic maple syrup
- 1/4 c. Organic Valley milk or coconut milk
- 1 Tbsp. organic coconut oil
- 1 tsp. organic vanilla extract
Add all ingredients to a double boiler or to a mason jar in a pot of cold water. Heat to simmering and stir while ingredients melt to a smooth, rich consistency. Pour into cups and serve!

For full-bodied Maple Mocha Coffee: Add 2 Tbsp. of Maple Sipping Chocolate to your coffee.
For everyone’s favorite Maple Hot Chocolate: Add Maple Sipping Chocolate to 1 1/2 c. of warm Organic Valley milk or coconut milk.
