Looking for a change from cheese and crackers? Why not cheese and apples!
Cheese and crackers is the perfect snack when you’re tired: when you’ve just stumbled in the door after a long day at work, or when you need an appetizer to give you the strength to prepare dinner. Spread a half-dozen crackers on a plate, slice some cheese, and you’re good to go.
Now that apple season is here, however, it’s a great time to serve that cheese on crispy, juicy slices of apple! Save time by starting at one side of the apple and simply slicing your way across; that way, you’ll only have to cut the core out of the middle slice. Then load on the cheese and enjoy!
Lisa Woodward, our Demo Coordinator, suggests these pairings:
• Saint Angel triple cream brie (on sale this week!) with Pink Pearl apples
• Prairie Breeze cheddar with Sweetango apples
• Grafton Village smoked chili cheddar with Honeycrisps
• Point Reyes blue with Fuji apples
• Parrano with Gala apples
