Every spring, local farmers open their farms to visitors during the Piedmont Farm Tour. Visitors can learn about sustainable agriculture and farmstead cheese, see baby animals, gather eggs, and enjoy the beauty of Piedmont farms. They can meet the people who grow their food and see how it is grown.
About the Tour
The tour began in 1995 and is the oldest and largest of its kind in the nation, drawing thousands of farm visits each year. It is co-sponsored by Weaver Street Market and the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA). This year’s tour features 33 farms.
