This winter “Round Up!” your purchases to the nearest dollar to donate fresh produce and dairy to OCIM’s food pantry and, new this year, fresh fruit for the seniors served by OCIM’s Meals on Wheels program. Hillsborough’s Community Goal is $35,000. That’s $700/week for 50 weeks to buy fresh produce and dairy and eggs!
Last year shoppers at our Hillsborough store Rounded Up 54,020 times for $24,916 to purchase fresh food for OCIM’s food pantry in Hillsborough. We raised enough funds to provide weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as Cabot butter and cheese.
Orange County Congregations in Mission a private non-profit ministry composed of almost 50 congregations in northern Orange County that strive to meet the emergency needs of those who find themselves in a crisis situation.
From January through September 2019, over 9,000 individuals have received food from the OCIM food pantry. During this period, the pantry received over 200,000 pounds of food donations. Our Round-Up program has provided over 20,000 pounds of fresh produce, butter and cheese so far this year. Over 30 volunteers keep the pantry functioning.

OCIM’s Meals on Wheels delivers a nutritious lunch five days a week to the most fragile members of our community. These homebound individuals benefit, not only from the daily meal, but from the daily visit from the volunteer delivery drivers.
