Summer wines come in all colors! We love pink wine for summer: it’s fresh, crisp, and versatile. The occasion or the company doesn’t always call for pink, though, so we’ve included a few tasty white and red recommendations for the hottest days of the year….
PINK!
Underwood Pinot Noir Rosé – in CANS
Delicious, dry Pinot Noir Rosé, IN A CAN! Fresh and flavorful with pretty strawberry and raspberry flavors, a hint of spice, and notes of fresh flowers. Exactly half of a regular-size wine bottle, this can makes wine accessible anytime, anywhere: campgrounds, concerts, your neighborhood pool. Take this baby anywhere alcohol is allowed. The best new packaging trend is wine in a can!
IT’S BACK! Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Rosé
This wonderful Rosé was our best selling wine in our April Wine Sale. It sold so well we had none left to sell in May & June, but don’t worry we just got a big shipment to carry us on a wave of Rosé well into Septmber!
A lovely and elegant dry Rosé from France’s Languedoc region. A 50/50 blend of Syrah & Carigan, this Rosé has pretty, delicate flavors of fresh cherry, strawberry and flowers. Clean, lean and crisp. The quintessential Summer wine.
White
Vinho Verde is THE wine of summer! Slightly efferevescent, fresh, dry, and super light – it’s the perfect “patio wine.” Alianca Vinho Verde is a really tasty example, with its flavors of fresh melons and stone fruits and hint of zesty lemon. It’s slightly effervescent and nice and dry: the perfect warm weather white.
Red
Hey, even a good burger or steak off the grill needs the perfect pairing, and rosé doesn’t always cut it, so we recommend this tasty Italian red. It’s not too heavy with just the right amount of flavor to stack up to any of those weekend cookouts. Vajra Langhe Rosso is a wonderful blend of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera with the addition of Albarossa, Freisa, and Pinot Noir. It’s beautifully balanced with flavors of dark chocolate, dark berry fruit, and fine tannin. Give it an hour to breathe or a few years to age… you’ll still be grilling in summer 2019, right?
Don’t forget to stock up on wines during our case sale, this weekend, July 15–17, 2016!
