Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place butter in a 2 quart glass baking dish and melt in oven.
- Stir together flour, sugar, and buttermilk into a batter. Take baking dish out of oven. Pour batter evenly on top of the melted butter.
- Place peaches evenly on top of the batter. DO NOT STIR.
- Place dish back in the oven for 30-40 minutes, cooking until golden brown.
