Participation in the Round Up program grew significantly in 2021 as shoppers responded to the escalating need for hunger relief during the pandemic. 630,645 transactions were rounded up in the stores or on Rosie, with the average round up 48.8 cents. Round up participation reached 50% of all transactions—the goal our customer service set for the year.

The 2021 Round Up benefited 11 community partners and included a special Round Up in the spring as a show of support for our Asian American neighbors, a new Round Up to provide Double Produce Dollars incentives to our Food for All owners, and a new Raleigh Community Food Partner—Neighborfood Express.
