It’s March, which means a lot of things here at Weaver Street Market: spring plants, the countdown to local strawberries, and best of all, St Patrick’s day!
This year, our pastry bakers are making several treats: Irish oat scones (in stores Wednesdays and Saturdays), chocolate orange Guinness quick bread, miniature Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake, and Blarney Stone whoopie pies.
Potted shamrocks arrive on the 6th, and corned beef briskets (brined and ready to cook) will be in the meat cases on the 8th. Try baking the brisket instead of boiling with this recipe.
We have several Irish cheeses in stock: Kerrygold Cashel Blue and Dubliner Irish Cheddar. We’re also bringing in three Special Delivery cheeses, arriving March 3rd: Carrigbyrne Humming Bark, Cooleeney Camembert-style cheese, and Gubbeen Farmhouse washed-rind cheese. Don’t forget a Guinness to pair them with! Four-pack cans are on sale for $7.99.
